Google’s Panda Core Update 

It has officially been a decade since Google released one of the biggest Core Updates, Panda. The Panda update was one of the largest for its time, and while its effects might be smaller than others, SEO is still impacted by this to this day. 

In the last decade, its main strategy is to mitigate old SEO strategies that were once relevant in 2010. This consists of keyword stuffing, spammy backlinking, thinning content, and other Blackhat SEO strategies. 

Even if Panda has affected a smaller amount of Googe’s SERP, it’s significant to the overall SEO strategy to this day! 

BERT 

Since its release in 2019, our SEO consultants in Denver have been monitoring BERT, and as it continues to advance, there are some new changes! BERT is a machine learning AI that understands language and helps to provide more relevant search results for queries. 

Google recently released a new video in regards to its latest change! 

As Google states, “there is a big difference between knowing words and understanding meaning.” 

Shopify 

There is no denying that the rise of the pandemic has paved the way for the future of ecommerce. As the industry continues to grow in popularity and skyrockets past its predictions, Shopify continues to be a CMS platform that more and more companies are using. 

With this new rise comes downfalls that are bound to happen. On February 7, 2022, reports of Shopify websites with massive declines in website traffic caused a more “temporary drop” but have risen back to normal. 

It’s important that ecommerce companies continue to keep an eye out for these small or massive changes and how their site is recovering.
